Making a Difference in Manitowoc
As a community-owned, not-for-profit healthcare facility, Shady Lane, Inc. has no stockholders - only stake-holders.
Join our ongoing commitment to providing continued support to our residents in their community.
It not only takes the work of our dedicated staff, board, and volunteers to help run Shady Lane, it also takes the support of the generous community. We appreciate every dollar and we want you to know where it’s going.

A Caring Path
The gardens at Shady Lane, no matter what season, are one of the most enjoyable features we offer residents.
We are enhancing the gardens with a wider sidewalk, edged with engraved red paving stones, to make them more wheel-chair accessible. The engraved bricks are one way to honor your loved one’s memory.
A brick can be purchased, inscribed, and prominently displayed with their names. This is a way to commemorate your loved one’s life in a place we all care for and love.
People volunteer for a number of different reasons, ranging from a desire to help others to learning new skills. At Shady Lane, one of the most common reasons we hear is that someone offered a helping hand when they needed it and now they are ready to give back. Here are a few ways you can make a difference.
Shady Lane Gift Shop
The Gift Shop is volunteer ran and coordinated. We offer a wide variety of seasonal and general gift items for sale that are made by local artisans, including household items, accessories, decorations, convenience items, gift cards, and much more.
Next time you’re in the main lobby, stop in say say hello to the volunteer and see what they have to offer!
The Gift shop is open Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday 10am-12pm, 1pm-5pm and Wednesday & Friday 1pm-5pm.
