Todd MeerdinkTodd Meerdink has been the Administrator of Shady Lane, Inc. since 1993. It has and continues to be a great environment to address the needs of the senior population of Manitowoc County. Community ownership and leadership has been the key to the organization's success over the past 60 years.
Theresa PatrickTheresa Patrick, the Director of Community Relations and Admissions, is also the friendly voice in our commercials. In her role as Admissions Director, Theresa and her department find the right living situation to assure an appropriate level of care by providing facility tours, answering questions, and assisting with paperwork to make the process as easy as possible for them. As Director of Community Relations for Shady Lane, Inc., Theresa oversees event planning, marketing development and advertising, and fundraising activities.
Margie MeyerMargie Meyer, our Director of Dietary Services, is committed to transforming the ordinary into special. She brings many years of experience along with her own family recipes which produce home cooking that is as tasty as it is nutritious. She holds a Dietary Manager designation from Northeast Technical College and is responsible for coordinating the food service from menu planning to food preservation.
Michele HallwachsMichele Hallwachs is the Director of Environmental Services. Simply put, she oversees housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, and maintenance staffs to keep Shady Lane in pristine condition. She also oversees our gorgeous gardens. In 2009, Michele was named the Manager of the Year by the Packer Valley Chapter of the International Executive Housekeepers Association.
Sue QuirtSue Quirt is the Director of Nursing. At Shady Lane this position is not only supervisory but allows her to be actively involved with direct resident care. Interpersonal communications and interaction among personnel and residents bring a family atmosphere to our caring environment.
Shelley PayetteShelley Payette, ADC, is a Nationally Certified Activities Director and Director of Activities. In her position she plays an important role in ensuring a higher level of quality of life for residents of Sunrise, Laurel Grove and Shady Lane. It is a position with a great deal of job satisfaction that comes from the personal relationship she has with residents.
Ron LeitermanRon Leiterman is Director of Plant Operations at Shady Lane. Ron supervises the physical operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and boiler systems. He keeps Shady Lane comfortable and safe.
Gregg ChaloupkaGregg Chaloupka is Director of Finance for Shady Lane, Inc. In this position he oversees all financial concerns for the facility and supervises the office staff. The position is more than numbers as he also spends time with residents at both Laurel Grove and Shady Lane which provides a high degree of job satisfaction.
Tracy MillerAs Director of Human Resources, Tracy Miller's position entails more than simply handling the hiring and managing of employee relations. Tracy screens Shady Lane's employees to make sure they are not only qualified but are also compassionate people who care for our residents. When asked about what she loves about working at Shady lane, she noted that because it is locally owned and managed, management, staff and residents are very connected. |
